How to install tekkit

[Kronasus]

Step 1

Go to http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/

Step 2
Select Launcher EXE on the left side of the website



Step 3
Launch the Launcher EXE. The tekkit launcher should now pop up

Step 4
Go to options and select either "Always use recommended builds or "Manual build selection"
At the moment of writing this tutorial we are on version 2.1.0




That's it. Now launch the game and play

Help me!
Everytime i press to launch it,it stopped working.

Lifetime, open up your windows logo bar thingy in the lower left corner, Type in run in the search there. And in the run command type in %appdata%. After doing that open the one named .tehniclauncher (Or something like that) and delete Tekkit. And then re download.

It goes wrong when i press the launch button in my download bar.[And it says its called:Technical Laucner.]

try to go to your user/appdata/roaming/ folder, is there a .techniclauncher folder in there?

No,the only thing i have in there that starts with a dot is .minecraft....

Download it and run it as an admin if you get an error before the actual client loads up.

When I press the EXE button, it says: Installing files...
Then that tab thingy gets away and the thing that should appear doesn't appear... Help?

Same thing happens to me, you gotta launch the tekkit-launcher.jar manually, it's found in /users/username/appdata/.techniclauncher/

Yeah, I've tried that. Not working..
Thanks a lot anyways.

EDIT: When I start up the jar in .techniclauncher, I get a black little box for like 0,2 seconds.

EDIT 2: Currently re-installing everything minecraft, java and tekkit related.. Fingers crossed!

Hmm, when I try and launch tekkit, it puts up the launcher then comes up with can't find Java directory. I installed Modloader to see if that was the problem and also deleted META-INF but nada. Any help?
